The ipod 7th gen 160GB has the same model number “A1238” as the ipod classic 6 160GB but the battery is different. The only way to tell which model you have is by either opening the ipod to see if you have the thicker battery or by looking at the serial number. For the ipod Classic 6 160gb model sold here the
Last 3 digits of your serial number should be:
Y5N, YMU, YMV, or YMX
Please look on the back of the ipod to make sure you have the correct serial number prior to ordering.
