  • Condition: This antique 1897 newspaper has some wear, creases, toning, light soiling, folds, some edge tears and a tear along the center horizontal fold (approximately 1-1/8" in the center margins). There are also approximately half a dozen small holes, including a couple on a creased/crumpled section below the date line on the first page, and two folded corner tips. All that being said, the newspaper is fully intact with bright text and is a wonderful piece of Salinas / Monterey County history.
